	'Electricity is one of the most powerful forces in human life. Industrialisation and modernisation has largely been facilitated by the use of eclectic power. Electricity’s role in the energy mix of any modern economy is even more critical and growing. Electricity is an extremely flexible form of energy, and has been adapted to a huge, and growing, number of uses. Therefore, the future of industrialisation and modernisation of the country . A long term power strategy will have to be drawn up for putting up the projects in the pipeline anticipating the growth in demand to ensure uninterrupted power supply to industry and other sectors. Anyway. it has to be borne in mind that the power generation and supply of power have to be tremendously raised over the years to stimulate industrial development and modernisation of the country.Dr.C.Murukadas, The Times of India, August 1, 2012
